The Disconnect Between Trust Drafting and Trust Administration

Stacy E. Singer is the National Practice Leader for Trust and Wealth Advisory Services at Northern Trust, where she works with trust professionals nationwide on the delivery of fiduciary services and with wealth advisory professionals on proactive wealth planning strategies.

With extensive experience in trust and estate administration, Stacy previously served as National Director of Estate Settlement Services at Northern Trust and held leadership positions in estate administration at Harris Trust & Savings Bank. She also practiced law, specializing in estate and succession planning, trust administration, and guardianship matters.

Stacy earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), serves as its Illinois State Chair, and is a past President of the Chicago Estate Planning Council.

A frequent speaker and published author, Stacy has contributed to leading industry publications, including Estate Planning, Trusts & Estates, and the Journal of Philanthropy.
